Why Hello, Hello Kitty Nails

I painted Hello Kitty on my nails. C'est mignon, n'est-ce pas? My fingers aren't really that red...I don't think :)



I did :


base coat (this -- I think I got it on sale for $.99 at Ulta)


white polish (2 coats) (this -- on sale for $1 at Rue21)



pink part of bow (this -- someone gave it to me)


nose (with this -- $2 at Big Lots, but regular yellow nail polish will work fine. I don't think I'd pay $2 for another one)


drew the eyes and whiskers and outlined in black marker (here...not really necessary)


went over the marker with black liquid eyeliner (here -- I've had it for a long time and you aren't supposed to use it after awhile, so I decided to use it for my nails. It looks like Clinique doesn't make this anymore, but it's too expensive to buy for your nails! Black nail polish applied with a thin brush, toothpick, etc. would work fine. Probably better.)


top coat (here -- same stuff as base coat)
