The Pregnant Man, etc.

Has anyone noticed how the media gives some “phenomenon” a catchy title that makes it sound more complex and interesting than it really is? There was the pregnant man, the man with a vagina (awkward….kind of hard to believe I’m typing this), and the man with half a body.
The pregnant man was actually someone born a woman, but changed to a man and kept the child bearing parts. Maybe it was legally a pregnant man, but not totally biologically a pregnant man.
The man with the vagina is a similar story. I saw this on the Tyra Show. This person was also born a woman and took hormones or something to be a man. I think this person was also legally a man, but still had some woman parts.
Then there’s the man with half a body. I feel like this doesn’t totally fit with the above paragraphs, because this person was indeed a man…he hadn’t been born a woman and had a sex change. However, the show about him advertised that he only had half a body, but actually he’d had both legs completely amputated as a baby, leaving the appearance of only half a body.
I’m not totally sure that I got all the details entirely correct, so if you want to know for sure, I recommend researching them for yourself (as with anything). I find it rather irritating that people make things sound so much different than they actually are. The media seems to have no boundaries when it comes to advertising.
